To build a trusted, inclusive, and industry-aligned AI student talent ecosystem in Pakistan.

Learn. Build. Lead with AI: An independent, mentor-led AI student community guiding Pakistani youth through AI learning, mentorship, projects, and ethical AI practices.

Purpose of the Community

Dream AI Student Community Pakistan (DAISC-PK) group is designed to support Pakistani students specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, and Software Engineering by:

    • Providing AI Industry Mentorship and peer learning

    • Bridging academia and industry to develop AI Industry skills

    • Promoting ethical, inclusive, and practical AI Industry development

    • Guiding students toward AI employability, freelancing, and research pathways

Group Structure

MS9 DAISC Team Coordinators – Need to further structure

DAISC Mentors & Trainers – Ensure regular engagement
Platform: WhatsApp and later scale up to Discord.
Audience: Pakistani students and fresh graduates with specialization in AI, Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science and any AI related filed.

Group Rules

• AI-related discussions only
• Respectful and inclusive behavior
• No spam or promotions
• Posting hours: 9:00 AM – 12 PM (PKT)

Mentor Roles

• AI Learning support and concept clarification
• AI Career guidance and portfolio reviews
• AI Project mentoring and advice on challenges
• Ethics and responsible AI discussions

What Mentors Can Do in the Group

1. Learning Support

    • Simplify complex AI concepts in short messages or voice notes

    • Share free learning resources (Coursera, Fast.ai, Kaggle, YouTube)

    • Recommend skill roadmaps for beginners vs advanced learners

2. Career Guidance

    • Share insights on:
        • AI roles in Pakistan vs global markets

        • Freelancing, remote work, and internships

        • University-to-industry transition

    • Review:
        • LinkedIn profiles, Projects (periodically)

3. Practical Exposure

    • Share mini-project ideas relevant to Pakistan (Urdu NLP, fintech, healthtech, defense tech)

    • Host monthly challenges (e.g., build a chatbot, dataset cleanup) or build prompts

    • Encourage participation in hackathons & competitions

4. Motivation & Inclusion

    • Highlight student success stories

    • Encourage female students and underrepresented groups

    • Address common fears: math anxiety, imposter syndrome, job market myths

5. Ethics & Responsible AI

    • Discuss AI ethics, bias, and local impact

    • Encourage responsible use of GenAI tools in academics

6. Each Mentor Should:

    • Introduce themselves in Group (background + AI domain)

    • Choose 1–2 focus areas: Learning support, Career guidance, Projects & challenges, Ethics & responsible AI

    • Commit to 2-3 engagements per month (text/voice note)

    • Maintain Encouraging, non-judgmental tone and Practical, Pakistan-relevant advice

Weekly engagement led by DAISC Team Coordinators: AI Trends News & Tools, AI Concepts Breakdown (E.g. Explain Prompt Engineering)

Bi-Monthly engagement led by DAISC Mentors: AI Projects Brainstorming & Feedback, AI Careers/Industry Insight, Open Q&A with Mentors

Group Success Indicators

    • Active discussions around latest AI Industry trends and applications (not just link sharing)

    • Students building and sharing AI projects

    • Improved confidence in AI career paths

    • Mentors-student trust and engagement
